The Looking Glass in second life has so much to offer. It is a wonderful fantastical world of beauty and indulgence!
The description on the landmark goes as follows – “Marcus Inkpen, Sharni Azalee- The Looking Glass. All welcome. Romantic, peaceful, friendly place for couples to share romance, love, dancing, cuddles. Enjoy meditation, Tai Chi, art, relaxation, music and shopping in a beautiful, photogenic environment.” I do believe that Marcus and Sharni built the whole sim!
Marcus Inkpen is an artist his work is on display in the ‘Flying Eye Art museum’ and Marcus ‘aka’ J.Matthew Root also has a website over at JMRart.com
Marcus has several other projects he has worked on past and present. Please do go and check out his website to descover more about this talented soul! He also has a flickr here Marcus Inkpen aka J.Matthew Root’s Flickr

It really is a beautiful, photogenic environment. It would be a wonderful place to take a loved one for a romantic date. There is so much to do and many cosy spots to enjoy.
Until next time! I wish you love, peace, happiness and safe paths x
Why did you come to secondlife? Do you even remember? How many jobs do you have now? How many people are you struggling to keep up with? Do you really have deep connections with the 40 plus avatars on your friends list?
For many of us it was to escape real life stresses and worries… It is funny then how many of us also take on the same kind of responsibilities here in secondlife. We end up even more stressed and emotionally drained. It is so easy to get carried away in this virtual world.
I try to look at it from the perspective of a really good book! You feel emotions and fall in love with the characters in the story. You put yourself in the shoes of a character yourself and live through it. It’s like a vivid dream, sometimes dreams can come true. We need to put the book down to tend to real life. Deal with the issues around us before we pick the book up again, to become engrossed in the story once more.
Take a step back and take time to relax and enjoy the beauty of secondlife. There really is so much to see and do that will leave you feeling peaceful and calm if you let it.

Hello, and thanks for joining me for my first ever blog post. I’m brand new to this and watched one YouTube video.. got confused and decided to just wing it! Making it up as I go like most things in my life! So this post and probably a fair few to follow will be for my own learning, practice and to gain a bit more experience in the field.
We have come to the end of Enchantment for this round but I hope this post will serve as inspiration, or to inform you perhaps, of a new experience you may have not yet discovered. It is also a means to display some of my SL photography that I thoroughly enjoy taking and sharing with everyone.
Enchantment events are very popular in SL. I am sure that most people who take part in and follow’ the wonderful array of fantasy events in SecondLife, know all about Enchantment. For those who have not yet discovered it, you can find out more by making your way over to their website here: Enchantment Website
Every 3 months Enchantment has a themed fantasy shopping event. This months theme was Alice In Wonderland. They had a beautifully decorated, themed sim. It was full of wonderful products relevant to the theme.
There was also a separate hunt, with hints that takes you to participating stores to find prize items. The items were also pertaining to the theme of the event! This year I managed to create a white rabbit costume and a queen of hearts costume. There were also a few other items including jewellery and decor.
The following pictures will give you an idea of some of the items that are in the hunts and available mostly exclusively to the Enchantment Event.
There is also The Lost Unicorn Gallery’s Enchantment Photo Contest! These following photos are my two entries. There are so many wonderful pictures from some very talented artists and photographers in this contest. You can check those out also here on flickr Alice In Wonderland – Photo contest Flickr group
